As a reminder, the voting date has changed and now aligns and consolidates with the statewide California general election, per a change in the statewide elections code. The most recent election was on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The next General Municipal Election will be on November 3, 2026.

How do I speak at a City Council meeting?
Anyone who wishes to speak on a City-related matter is invited to attend a City Council meeting and speak during the Public Communications portion of the meeting. Speaker Cards will be available in the Council Chamber lobby on the day of Council meetings (usually the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month). The time limit for comments is up to five (5) minutes per person but a limit of thirty (30) minutes total for all speakers.

How do I file a claim against the City?
For persons wishing to file a claim against the City, a Claim Form must be completed and submitted to the City Clerk’s Office. The City is prohibited from providing you with legal advice. Claim forms are available online or the City Clerk's Office at City Hall, 350 Main Street. Completed forms are submitted at the City Clerk's Office.
Where do I go to file a claim that is not against the City?
You can file a claim at the Los Angeles County Courthouse/Inglewood Courthouse, located at One Regent Street, Inglewood, CA 90301 (two blocks north of Manchester Boulevard and one block west of La Brea Boulevard.) The courthouse is open from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; the Clerk's Office is open from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, except court holidays.
