The El Segundo Recreation, Parks, and Library Department offers high-quality parks and recreation facilities, the El Segundo Library, community service programs, recreation classes, events and activities. The Department is versatile in its service delivery by providing vital public transportation in addition to offering valuable programs and enrichment opportunities for all ages and abilities.

Hometown Fair

Step right up! Join us for the Annual Hometown Fair & Carnival on Saturday, May 2nd from 10:00am to 3:00pm. The fair will span from Library Park and throughout the 600 Block of N. Main Street. The event will include music and entertainment from local talent, carnival rides, a Community Booth Expo, craft vendors, a Bake-Off, and more!

El Segundo High School groups are coordinating game booths to fundraise for their clubs. A variety of vendors will be selling one-of-a-kind handmade crafts, while the El Segundo Police Department, Fire Department, and El Segundo nonprofit groups will participate in the event to provide information about their organizations and programs.

The Bake-Off event will award prizes to winners in various categories. Entries for the Bake-Off will be due between 10:00am and 11:00am, with winners being announced in the afternoon.

Wristbands are on pre-sale for $15 per wristband at the Checkout Building and Joslyn Center. The wristbands give access to rides and games offered throughout the fair and carnival. Be sure to buy your wristband early as prices will increase to $20 on the day of the event.
