Hyperion will flare biogas on Friday, May 8 in order to perform urgent, unplanned electrical maintenance. The facility that uses biogas will shut down starting at 4 a.m. and that will last until approximately 10 a.m. Normally, the biogas is used as a renewable fuel source to power the plant.

You may notice increased flaring activity (visible flame and heat) between 4 and 10 a.m. All other plant operations will continue as normal.
