The following information is provided by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and their Airfield and Terminal Modernization Project (ATMP).

The Vice Chair of El Segundo's Environmental Committee, Kevin Butler, has joined the LAWA advisory committee representing the city of El Segundo. His back-up is the Environmental Committee Chair, Tracey Miller-Zarneke.

NIGHTTIME CLOSURES ON CENTURY BLVD BETWEEN JETWAY & SEPULVEDA

June 15-21: There are planned nighttime full directional closures on westbound Century Blvd between Jetway Blvd and Sepulveda Blvd and closure of the existing departures ramp, rerouting traffic for the ATMP Roadway Improvements Project. This work will include restoration of the left turn pocket, installation of K-rail and restriping of new temporary lanes.

• June 19-20: New traffic lane configuration will be in place along Century Blvd.
• Please note that there will be full directional closures on Wednesday through Saturday nights.
• Hotel access will be available from 98^th St and Vicksburg Ave.

UPCOMING WORK

Century Blvd

• Ongoing: Nighttime work between Vicksburg Ave and Jetway Blvd, within the center median and along the south side of Century Blvd, for potholing and slot trenching for CIDH* installation for future bridges.
• Ongoing: Daytime work at northwest corner of Century Blvd and Jetway Blvd to for CIDH* installation and concrete pours tentatively scheduled for June 12, 19, and 26.
• Ongoing: Daytime work within lot south of Century Blvd, between Sepulveda Blvd and Vicksburg Ave, for concrete work, including potholing, slot trenching, pavement restoration, installation of CIDH* piles, concrete pours, framework construction and more.
• Ongoing - June 26: Nighttime work on south side of Century Blvd, between Jetway Blvd and Vicksburg Ave, for utility line removal. Work between June 15 and June 19 will take place within the Century Blvd median.
• Ongoing - July: Nighttime work in landscape area south of Century Blvd and within Century Blvd medians for pylon removal. Future pylon removal between Aviation and Airport Blvd dates pending. Removal of pylons within lot south of Century Blvd and east of Sepulveda Blvd is scheduled through June 23.
• Ongoing - June 17: Nighttime work in westbound arrivals lane, from Jetway Blvd to Sepulveda Blvd, to install lighting and signal infrastructure.
• June 15-29: Nighttime work within lane closures at westbound crossover of Century Blvd to install concrete foundations, temporary street lighting, and restriping of new temporary lanes and K-rail installation. Additional work is scheduled June 26-29 for overhead signage installation.
• June 16 - July 7: Nighttime work on Century Blvd between Sepulveda Blvd and the Central Terminal Area for utility installation. Temporary street and sidewalk restoration will take place from July 1-7.
• June 22-26: Nighttime work to remove abandoned utilities between Jetway Blvd and Vicksburg Ave.

Sepulveda Blvd

• Ongoing - mid July: Daytime and nighttime work on the northeast and northwest corners of Sepulveda Blvd and Century Blvd, for column buildout and concrete pours for the new Sepulveda Pedestrian Bridge.
  • Northeast corner: Nighttime work expected June 11 and July 2. Concrete work is expected June 12 and 15.
  • Northwest corner: Nighttime work is expected June 12, 19, 25, and the week of June 29. Concrete work is expected June 18 and July 2.
• Ongoing - June 20: Nighttime work and lane closures for underground traffic utilities on southbound and northbound Sepulveda Blvd, from Century Blvd and 98^th St. Restriping of new temporary lanes and K-rail installation is scheduled for Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20 on Sepulveda Blvd, just north of Century Blvd intersection. This work will remove access to the middle lane of southbound and curbside lane of northbound Sepulveda Blvd.
• June 22: Daytime work on east side of Sepulveda Blvd, beneath the westbound Century Blvd crossover, to prepare the work site for future work.
• June 29 – July 2: Nighttime work within lot on the west side of Sepulveda Blvd, north of Century Blvd, for utility line removal.

98^th St

• Ongoing – mid-July: Daytime work within lots north of 98^th St, between Sepulveda Blvd and Jetway Blvd, for concrete bridge structure work, as well as water and power utility installation.
• Ongoing - mid-July: Daytime and nighttime work at the existing Taxi Holding Lot to secure the property. Daytime shift activities include pavement demolition and utility infrastructure removal. Storm drain installation will begin on June 18.
• June 15 – June 19: Nighttime work with lot north of 98^th St, between Sepulveda Blvd and Vicksburg Ave, to remove billboards and concrete foundations.
• June 17: Nighttime work within lane closures west of Jetway Blvd to install traffic infrastructure.

World Way

• Ongoing - July: Nighttime work within the Central Terminal Area (CTA), near the Admin East building, to relocate and install water utilities. This work will require nightly closures of the loop surrounding the Admin East building.
• Ongoing – late June: Daytime work within CTA to remove pavement and hardscapes to install drainage structures and prepare for CIDH* piling.

Project wide

• Ongoing: Various preconstruction and concrete work, including potholing, slot trenching, pavement restoration, installation of CIDH* piles, concrete pours, framework construction and more.
• Ongoing: Utility relocation and installation, installation of CIDH* piles, concrete preparation work for future 96^th St pedestrian bridge, billboard infrastructure removal, and installation of work site security and safety measures within and near the 96^th St closure.
