In 2019, the City of El Segundo adopted standards to permit sidewalk vending in compliance with California's Safe Sidewalk Vending Act, passed in 2018, requiring the following:

• A valid state and county business license
• Stationary vending in a non-residential zone
• Sanitary conditions
• ADA access or path of travel is not blocked.

The City's Neighborhood Preservation staff is monitoring street vending compliance.
