The Kiwanis El Segundo PTA Run for Education 5K |10K is an easy-to-moderate hill course loop through local neighborhoods. As a unique USA Track & Field-certified road course in Southern California, the Run for Education features a moderate coastal climate and a tour of downtown El Segundo and its neighborhoods and schools. 

Proceeds benefit El Segundo Unified Schools. 

The 5K Run/Walk is an easy-to-moderate hill course through local neighborhoods, while the 10K Run offers up the 2nd loop around El Segundo.

The Kid’s Fun Run will be split into 1K and 1/2K events. The 1K Kid’s Run is for children ages 6-10, while the 1/2K Kid’s Run is for kids 5 and under. Although these races are intended for kids, parents are welcome to run with their children (no additional registration is needed by the parent).

All 5K, 10K, and Fun Run participants receive custom die cast finisher medals.

The large post-race Finish Line Expo is free to the public and offers race participants, spectators, families, friends, and visitors the opportunity to meet a wide range of local professionals and vendors, and government and commercial service providers from the El Segundo community and surrounding area. Expo exhibitors will provide information and free samples, give demonstrations, and host games and contests.
