The Environmental Committee (Public Works) serves to review existing environmental programs for the City and recommends new environmental related policies and programs for El Segundo, as to reach goals outlined in the Environmental Work Plan. The committee was established on Feb. 6, 2008, and is composed of: three members from the business community and three members from the residential community to serve four-year terms; one member from the El Segundo Unified School District (ESUSD) appointed annually in the month of June by the Superintendent; and one Public Works staff member who serves the committee in an ex-official capacity.
